Peace greetings from the National Council of Churches in the Philippines!
The NCCP is one with the indigenous peoples in the struggles against development aggression, ecological destruction, and militarization. We walk with them in the path of righteousness and justice towards life in all its fullness for all.
As part of this ministry, the NCCP is facilitating an immersion program in Mangyan and Igorot communities. In this light we are inviting TWO YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE UMC to participate in this immersion program (one young people in each event). The immersion program will be held on the following dates:
April 12-15, 2013 at Mangyan Day Festival in Occidental Mindoro
April 22-25, 2013 at Cordillera Day Festival in North Luzon.
We recommend the three minimum requirements for your selection of participants: (1) willingness to participate in the entire duration of the program including participants’ orientation; (2) willingness to submit a reflection paper; (3) willingness to volunteer for the indigenous peoples program of the NCCP. Your endorsement will be highly appreciated.
Participants’ orientation will be held on April 5, 2013 (Friday) at the NCCP Office, from 1:00P.M. to 3:00P.M.
For more information, you can call NCCP at (02) 925-1765. Look for Mr. Ariel Siagan or Ptr. Ernani Diacos.

This serves as the second-wave of communication regarding our 2nd Kappia Peace Camp, which is scheduled on April 3-7, 2013 in Union Theological Seminary – Dasmarinas, Cavite.
We would like to follow up on the list of your participants. As communicated earlier, we are requesting for 10 young people from your organization to participate in this five-day event. The registration fee is pegged at PhP 800.00 which will cover full board and lodging, including meals/snacks and materials for entire duration of the activity.
Around 150 young people are expected to participate in this event coming from the member organizations and partners of KKKP. Our activities include bible studies, inputs, community exposure and creative workshops anchored in our anniversary theme, which will help young people to reflect on the issue of peace and justice. At the same time, this event will challenge the young people to strengthen our solidarity as we actively participate in the life-giving mission of the church.
We have attached here the program for your reference. Also, we would like to request if you can confirm the list of your participants through our Treasurer, JayRoy Tipayan at 09273917379, until February 28, 2013.
Thank you very much for your active support to the ecumenical youth movement and for being our co-journeyer towards the realization of a life in all its fullness.
Peace and blessings,
